Bruno Zuculini suffers muscle injury

Midfielder Bruno Zuculini raised alarms at Racing after the victory against Central Córdoba (SdE) by suffering a grade two muscle injury in his left calf. Although he tried to continue playing some plays after feeling discomfort, he had to be replaced by Martín Barrios.

Zuculini had been a key player in Racing's starting lineup, standing out as a leader on the field. His absence will be a tough blow for the Avellaneda team in the final stage of the Torneo Apertura and in the Copa Libertadores.

The player himself initially downplayed the pain by commenting: 'My calf got messed up, but it's nothing. We're fine for what's coming.' However, subsequent tests revealed a more serious injury than expected. His return to the pitch will depend on his recovery in the coming days, and the coaching staff does not rule out his presence in the next Copa Libertadores match against Colo Colo, although they acknowledge the risk of worsening the injury if his recovery is rushed.

Zuculini scored the winning goal in the last match and was fundamental in the midfield balance in the first half of the game. The grade two muscle injury represents a significant setback for Racing at a crucial moment in the season, as they will lose one of their most important players for several weeks.
