Nicolás Ramírez to Referee Avellaneda Classic

Referee Nicolás Ramírez has been appointed to officiate the Avellaneda derby this coming Sunday between Independiente and Racing at the Libertadores de América - Ricardo Enrique Bochini stadium. This appointment comes after his participation in the controversial draw between Gimnasia La Plata and Deportivo Riestra on Monday in Buenos Aires.

Ramírez had previously officiated the last match between Independiente and Racing on August 25 at the Presidente Perón stadium, which ended in a 0-0 draw. On this occasion, he will be accompanied by Héctor Paletta in VAR.

In his previous matches with Independiente, Ramírez has officiated nine times, with two defeats, one win, and six draws for the team. Meanwhile, with Racing, he has officiated eight times, with four victories, three draws, and one defeat.

Nicolás Ramírez's officiating has included the expulsion of four players from the Independiente team and five penalties awarded, as well as one against. Regarding Racing, in none of the matches officiated by Ramírez has he had to send off a player from the team, having only awarded one penalty in favor, which was key for a 3-1 victory against Unión.

The officiating team accompanying Nicolás Ramírez in the derby between Independiente and Racing will consist of Pablo González and Pablo Acevedo as assistant referees, Nicolás Lamolina as the fourth official, and Héctor Paletta in VAR, with Juan Del Fueyo as AVAR.
