During the match against Huracán, Racing controlled the game at various moments but lacked depth. A defensive error allowed Eric Ramírez to score the only goal of the match. Despite attempting to react in the second half, the team failed to produce concrete ideas and only a shot from Solari worried the opposing goalkeeper.
With this fourth consecutive defeat in the 2025 Apertura Tournament, Racing is going through a negative streak that concerns fans. Costas reiterated the urgency to set aside the Recopa and start accumulating victories: 'There are no excuses, we have to put the Recopa aside and start winning.'
