Racing vs Boca: Key Match in Apertura Tournament

Next Saturday, Racing and Boca will face each other in Avellaneda in an exciting match corresponding to the fourth date of Zone A of the 2025 Apertura Tournament. The match will take place at 22:15 at the Presidente Perón Stadium (Cilindro de Avellaneda).

One of the highlights is the possible starting position of Juan Nardoni in Racing, who has recovered from a knee injury. In Boca's case, the team arrives in high spirits after obtaining their first victory in the tournament against Huracán at La Bombonera, thus adding five points and placing themselves in tenth position.

Fernando Gago, Boca's coach, does not plan to make changes to his starting formation unless Marcos Rojo recovers in time from his Achilles tendon injury. Edinson Cavani is expected to be the attacking reference accompanied by Exequiel Zeballos, although Kevin Zenón or Brian Aguirre could enter depending on the tactical strategy.

Regarding the probable lineups, Racing would have Gabriel Arias in goal; Gastón Martirena, Marco Di Cesare, Santiago Quirós, and Gabriel Rojas in defense; Juan Ignacio Nardoni, Bruno Zuculini, and Agustín Almendra in midfield; and Luciano Vietto, Maximiliano Salas, and Adrián Martínez in attack, under the technical direction of Gustavo Costas.

On the other hand, Boca would line up Agustín Marchesín in goal; Luis Advíncula, Rodrigo Battaglia, Ayrton Costa or Marcos Rojo, and Marcelo Saracchi in defense; Tomás Belmonte and Williams Alarcón in midfield; and Exequiel Zeballos or Brian Aguirre or Kevin Zenón, Carlos Palacios, and Alan Velasco in the attacking zone, with Edinson Cavani as the striker, under the direction of Fernando Gago.

It is important to highlight the absences that Racing faces, with Santiago Sosa and Agustín García Basso out due to injuries. The referee will be Yael Falcón Pérez with Germán Delfino in VAR. The event will be broadcast by TNT Sports.
