The technical director of Independiente, Julio Vaccari, referred to the upcoming classic against River for the fourth matchday of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol Apertura Tournament and decided to downplay its importance, stating that "it's just another match and should be treated as such." He made it clear that they are focused on continuing to establish the team as a serious unit that always seeks to move forward against any rival.

During the press conference following the 2-0 victory against Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, which left the "Rojo" with a perfect score after three matches, Vaccari expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance: "It was evident that physically we were up to the commitment. We lacked a little precision in the final line, but I am very pleased with the intention to always pursue the game, even while winning.”

Vaccari mentioned the importance of players being able to reconnect with the fans, highlighting that it is something positive and that he particularly enjoys. Additionally, he emphasized the physical demands on his players, given the three matches played in a short period: "I was very convinced of this group and of what we had worked on in preseason."

Regarding the commitment against Gimnasia, the coach praised the overall performance of the team and stressed the importance of every minute played to enhance Independiente's history. Vaccari concluded by affirming his confidence in the squad and his determination to maintain the institution's greatness in every match.
