The Uruguayan forward of Racing, Adrián "Rocky" Balboa, shared his experience of being part of the squad alongside several players emerging from the "Academy". In an interview with the Argentine News Agency after the 4-0 victory over Belgrano in the second round of the Liga Profesional de Fútbol Apertura Tournament, Balboa expressed the importance of feeling part of the club thanks to his teammates.
"As a foreigner, you know what Racing is, but having the guys come and tell you about it is something very nice," said the Uruguayan forward. He highlighted that he quickly established a sense of belonging in the team. Balboa has had a positive start at Racing, scoring goals in his first two matches against Barracas Central and Belgrano de Córdoba.
Although he currently holds a substitute position, Balboa is expected to have several opportunities to shine in the team under the direction of Gustavo Costas. Racing will face an intense competition schedule, including the Apertura Tournament, the Clausura, the Recopa Sudamericana, the Copa Argentina, and the Copa Libertadores, with the latter being the main objective for the club from Avellaneda.
