Racing Club's sporting director, Sebastián Saja, revealed in an interview with TyC Sports that the club is in negotiations with Inter Miami to transfer a youth player, which would open a slot for new signings until March 12. In this context, Racing would be speeding up negotiations to sign Richard Sánchez from Club América in Mexico, whose agreement seems to be progressing.

"We are talking with Inter Miami, in negotiations," said Sebastián Saja, referring to the potential signing of a youth player. Racing's interest in Paraguayan midfielder Richard Sánchez has been a long-time desire of the club’s president, Diego Milito. According to Saja, the talks with Inter Miami regarding Baltasar Rodríguez's departure could pave the way for Sánchez's arrival.

Richard Sánchez, who has had a successful stint with Club América in Mexico, was a three-time champion of the domestic tournament and has represented Paraguay in the 2019 and 2021 Copa América. Diego Milito had been following the player since his time as the club's technical secretary, and now the negotiations for his signing seem closer than ever to being finalized.

Racing hopes to finalize Baltasar Rodríguez's departure to Inter Miami to free up a necessary slot and thus secure the arrival of Richard Sánchez. Although previous negotiations for the midfielder had failed, the current agreement seems to be on track. According to Saja, if Rodríguez's departure is confirmed, Racing would have the option to make a new signing.
