The women's basketball team of the El Talar club reported that their players were recorded while showering at the Club Náutico Sportivo Avellaneda, whose president, Pablo Creolani, has been convicted of verbal and gender violence, as well as unfair dismissal.
In a statement released by El Talar, it is detailed that the players traveled to the Club Náutico Avellaneda to compete in a match. Upon arriving at the locker room, they noticed the presence of an arm holding a black cellphone above the wall that separates the men's and women's areas.
"Immediately we notified our leaders. They informed the authorities of the Club Náutico, who made available to us the club's cameras where we could see a man acting suspiciously inside and outside the locker room," the players recounted.
The Club Náutico Sportivo Avellaneda has a history of scandals. In 2021, its president, Pablo Creolani, was reported by a zumba instructor for verbal violence, gender violence, and unfair dismissal. The judge in charge of the case, Patricia Otegui, ruled in favor of the complainant and forced the club to implement a training protocol on gender issues and violence against women.
Belén Giorgis, the complainant, stated that the Club's president appeared in one of her classes, insulted her, and mistreated her in front of those present.
