Former Turismo Carretera driver, Marcos Di Palma, has announced that he will carry out a charity event covering 700 kilometers from Arrecifes to Bahía Blanca, in the Province of Buenos Aires, to collect donations and help those affected by a recent storm.
Di Palma, representing all the drivers, will carry out this initiative together with the Argentine Association of Turismo Carretera (ACTC) without allowing politics to interfere with his charitable action. The journey will take place along routes 51 and 3, aiming to collect food, water, cleaning supplies, diapers, blankets, among other items.
Through a video shared on his social media, the former driver explained that he will visit various towns in the Province of Buenos Aires such as Carmen de Areco, Chivilcoy, 25 de Mayo, Saladillo, among others, to gather donations and later distribute them to those affected in Bahía Blanca. The collaboration will mainly be coordinated with volunteer firefighters from the visited localities.
Among the requested items are dry food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, diapers, mattresses, among others. Di Palma has committed to coordinating the aid directly with local authorities to ensure that it reaches those who need it most.
