The search for Danilo Peña, the minor who has been missing since June 2024 in the province of Corrientes, has been reactivated with the authorization of the Federal Court of Goya for new searches in four lagoons in the locality where he was last seen. In recent hours, Resolution No. 527/2025 became known, in which the start of searches, raids, and operations in the city of 9 de Julio was authorized, the place where the minor disappeared almost a year and a half ago. According to the resolution, the procedures will begin this Monday, November 10, in four lagoons located near the farm of Carlos Pérez and María Victoria Caillava, on Provincial Route 113. The document details that the measure will be extended for 50 days and can be extended depending on the climate and the results obtained. For the various operations, personnel from the Unified Command Corrientes (CUC), the Federal System for the Search of Missing and Exploited Persons (SIFEBU), the Argentine Prefecture Naval, the Argentine Federal Police, and the Corrientes Police will work together, as well as technical bodies such as the Corrientes Institute of Water and the Environment (ICAA), SENASA, Flora and Fauna, Volunteer Firefighters, and the Municipality of 9 de Julio. In the case, Laudelina Peña, Antonio Benítez, Pérez, Caillava, Mónica del Carmen Millapi, Daniel “Fierrito” Ramírez, and former commissioner Walter Maciel are prosecuted for the disappearance of the child.
